Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM)

Oversees and directs all aspects of the Sales and Marketing activities. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans; oversee and assist with the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plan; management of the sales and marketing team and reporting on effectiveness of the plan. Responsibilities also require direct and routine interaction with Regional Sales and Marketing office.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Management

• Develop and execute annual sales & marketing strategies aligned with hotel positioning and revenue objectives
• Drive revenue performance across all segments including Rooms, MICE, Events, and ancillary services
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and business performance to identify growth opportunities and risks
• Ensure achievement of budgeted revenue, GOP, and market share targets

Sales & Business Development

• Lead all sales activities across Corporate, MICE, Government, Embassy, Airline, Travel Trade, Leisure, Wholesale, and OTA segments
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders
• Drive new business acquisition and strengthen repeat business from existing clients
• Lead sales missions, client engagements, networking events, and industry exhibitions
• Ensure effective account management, contracting, and conversion strategies

Marketing, Branding & Communications

• Oversee all marketing, branding, digital marketing, PR, and communications activities
• Ensure consistent luxury brand positioning across all channels
• Develop campaigns to enhance brand awareness, visibility, and market penetration
• Manage online reputation, social media presence, and digital performance
• Collaborate with agencies, media partners, and influencers to strengthen brand exposure

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Marketing team to achieve performance excellence
• Build a high-performance, results-driven, and guest-focused culture
• Ensure effective coaching, performance management, and talent development
• Promote cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Revenue teams

Financial & Reporting

• Prepare annual budgets, sales forecasts, and marketing plans
• Monitor performance against KPIs and ensure cost efficiency
• Provide regular commercial reports and market insights to senior management

• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields.
• Minimum 5–7 years of senior Sales & Marketing leadership experience in 5-star luxury city hotels
• Mandatory experience in the City Hotel segment
• Proven track record in driving revenue growth in competitive urban markets
• Strong network in corporate, MICE, travel trade, and hospitality sectors
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Excellent English communication skills
